In December 2012, Icelandic researcher Helga Ögmundardóttir joined the NORD-STAR team in a postdoc position at KULT in NTNU in Trondheim. Helga is working within sub-project 4.3 connected to Projects 3 and 4: Energy transition modelling and Energy transition management.
Under the heading “Integrating Climate into Action”, NORD-STAR researchers were well-represented at the European Climate Change Adaptation Conference (ECCA) in Hamburg, Germany, 18-20 March 2013.
NORD-STAR researchers have taken part in developing a map to measure climate vulnerability in Norweigan municipalities. For the first time ever, a map that takes into account both the social and physical vulnerability of Norweigan municipalities has been created.
NORD-STAR was well represented at the international Chameleon Research Workshop on “Barriers to Adaptation to Climate Change”. Both Co-Director and Science Domain Leader Professor Richard Klein and PhD student Johannes Klein took part in the workshop, which was held in Berlin on 18–21 September 2012.
